Grand Cities Art Fest returns this weekend

Admire the art.  Savor the food.  Breath in the outdoors.  Feel the sun.  Tune in to new music.  Introduce your senses to 145 artist vendors from all over the nation and 16 concessions at the 2010 Grand Cities Art Fest June 12  (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and 13 (10 a.m.5 p.m.) in downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

Art
The Grand Cities Art Fest features the fun, functional, abstract, decorative, inspiring, wearable, tasty, though-provoking and meaningful works of creative and talented people.  Don't miss any of the painting, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, fine glass, woodwork, mixed media, photography and more - a unique collection that can only be seen once a year!

Food
Fine a taste to please your entire family in one of two food courts.  There are also tasty treats scatter among the artists throughout the show.  Enjoy!

Kid's Activities
Get into the creative spirit when visiting Kid's Corner on the Greenway.  There will be inflatable games and a variety of free make-and-take art activities for kids,  including "junk sculptures" - art made from recycled materials, music activities, masking and more!  Kid's Corner is sponsored by ArtWise.

Live Entertainment
Live, free musical, dance and theatrical performances will take place at the Xcel Energy state in Town Square and the HB Sound & Light East Grand Forks Stage.  Bring your own chair - or use one of ours.  We have something for everyone!

Arts in Action
Watch creativity happen live in Town Square at Arts in Action as talented artists will demonstrate the process of creation.  See the square come alive Saturday and Sunday when area artists demonstrate some of your favorite arts including wood, clay, glass, drawing, and jewelry.
